True freedom is in not being limited by your nature as a human entity

I have said to people, and myself that its important to know your own nature. Your own tendencies.  This will help you know what you will do when you are living in your own habits.  Living BY your habits.  These are your stories, your beliefs, your structures, your way of being, which is either caused by nature or nurture.

Over the years, I have taken this to mean that I see my habit, I accept my habit,  I own my habit, I get to know my habit, and live BY my habit the rest of my life.

What I noticed in my own experience is some what different.

I realize that my habit is dangerous and must be watched.  Must be watched carefully and constantly.

Here lies a great freedom.  The freedom is to either live by that habit, the rest of my life. But to do it in knowledge and awareness and acceptance.  Not simply as a pattern, habit or tendency.

Or the freedom is to live completely different from that habit.

The process goes something like this:   Each moment you do what you do, or think what you think, you question what came before that.  What was the thought or belief that is arising from?  What was the thought or belief that previous thought or action is arising from?  and so on. And question that one thought that it all goes back to.  Is that thought a belief or pattern,  is it a story?? or is it really true?

99.9999999% of everything we think, every thing we do and everything we believe is a structure, a story, a pattern or a habit.  And very likely, not true.

Herein lies the freedom to be something entirely different.  To live and choose and be entirely without ANY limitations.

And this choice can ONLY occur one moment at a time.  Once action at a time. One thought at a time.  Moment to moment, each and every moment.

Stop and Be presence.    Thank you Aja!!
